I was ecstatic when this letter came home with Emmett from preschool.
My favorite memories of Valentine's Day were making Valentine Boxes, decorating and then carefully selecting who was going to get which Valentine.
So I started searching for the perfect box.
You know, I couldn't do a simple shoe box or cereal box. It needed to be creative.
I made Brad helped ... and he actually found the winning box.
A barn! ... and with a little Spray Paint and some embellishments, we would be set.
Emmett and I had a thoughtful discussion in the Valentine Aisle and picked out which cards to get.
And the project was underway.
We had to go back for seconds of Spray Paint. Menards at 6am. Yes, I know I am crazy.
I had only a few hours to get it sprayed before leaving for a trip ... it looked kinda funny drying in the backyard.
And it was finally assembly time.
We made cute little candy bags for each preschooler.
The barn finished drying and we got it decorated.
I was a little embarrassed to send it to school. What is wrong with me? Everyone does these cute little paper boxes and I always have to take everything to a new level.
But you gotta admit ... pretty cute.
Happy Valentine's Day!

The kids thought it was cute! They could open it up and put the cards in..... I knew it was your "handywork" the minute I saw it. TO admit, all the boxes were quite nice and more decorated than I first thought I would see! We made a "Heart Man" on the front of our box. Good Job!!!
